C areer planning is an integral part the design curriculum. Throughout the course students are trained in best practices in the industry and groomed for professional life. We like to make sure that the transition from student phase to an employee is as smooth as possible. The placement cell is a support given to students to find the right job opportunities.

In its initial years, WUD is backed up by the strong industry connect of nearly 2 decades of its parent organisation RIMT in placement. RIMT has a renowned reputation in the industry. A large number of national and international employers visit the RIMT Institutes every year to pick students for employment in their organizations. The names of some prominent employers visiting the Institutes are given below. A large number of students are offered lucrative packages by these employers even before they complete their courses.

Based on the discipline selected, student need to do an internship with an organisation for a fixed period of time as part of the academic curriculum. In this period a student is expected to understand the working culture of any organisation through observation and exchange of experience.

Graduation project is undertaken by the student towards the end of their academic tenure. It is an initiative designed to ensure a smooth transition of graduates into the industry. The project would have a faculty mentor and an industry mentor who would guide the student through the project. The students are expected to learn independent working and showcase the application of the learning in real life situations.
