Exploring the traditional design, crafts & cultural heritage of our nation and making it contemporary and relevant for a global audience.

About School

School of Fashion offers courses developed to nurture the next generation of fashion designers, stylists, buyers, journalists and design managers. The programmes will prepare you for a successful career as a fashion product designer and developer able to explore and exploit cutting edge technology and aesthetics for clothing and textiles.

Our strategic commercial partnerships support local and global enterprise. Students benefit from our connections with industry and so does industry.

In design, we teach a combination of heritage and radical thinking. Craftsmanship and new technology. Engineering – and in-depth design research. We teach innovative ideas first – and then innovative practice to bring them to life.

Indian economy has moved on from being a manufacturing hub to a booming service industry with increasing demand for design professionals. The design industry in India is growing at a staggering rate of 23 to 25 per cent annually.
The world has changed; the role of design has changed. And the way that designers are taught to engage with the world must change, too. Our curriculum provides greater opportunities for self-directed learning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and exposure to academic areas beyond the traditional boundaries of art and design.
The fashion and textile programmes at School of Fashion are designed to nurture the student’s creativity while providing a rigorous grounding in the practical and technical skills needed for career success, exposing the students to the real demands and practices of the fashion world.
